President’s
Message
First, I would like to say thank you to all of our
members and corporation sponsors for your continued support of the National
Organization of Hispanics in Criminal Justice.
The entire Executive Board looks forward to your
support in obtaining several of our goals during the 2006 - 2008 term.
One of our goals is to continue to increase our
membership by:
—
Working in partnership with affiliate organizations nationwide
—
Participating in a variety of community service projects
—
A successful 2nd National Conference in Orlando, Florida
As my term of President comes to a close this upcoming
year, I would like to again thank everyone that has assisted me during my
2006 – 2008 term. Without your hard work, dedication, and commitment
NOHCJ could not have continued to thrive as a successful criminal justice
organization.
With the hard work of many individuals serving on both
the Programs, and Local Arrangements Host Committee we are going to have a
successful 2nd National Training Conference that will be held at
The Florida Hotel and Conference Center located in beautiful Orlando, Florida
from April 28 – May 1, 2008. The conference theme is Bridging the Gap
Between the Criminal Justice System and Mental Illness.
With the support of a variety of local, state and
federal law enforcement agencies we look forward to putting together an outstanding
training agenda as well as enjoying several evening events to be enjoyed by
all! I am sure everyone who attends the Conference will find it to be a
rewarding experience in regard to professional development.
In closing, I urge everyone to start making
preparations to participate in our 1st NOHCJ Golf Tournament
during the Conference as well as other planned activities by the Local
Arrangements Host Committee.
It is my pleasure to serve you as President for the
2006 – 2008 term. Hope to see you all in Orlando, Florida in 2008!
